Healthy and motivated employees are one of the most important resources of the company and HPT Pharma Packaging has long since recognised this fact and embedded it in the corporate mission statement – not only because of being aware of the demographic change and as a result of this the extended working life, the shortage of skilled staff and the growing demands of professional life. In order to have a productive staff also in future HPT implemented a company health management.
„Stay healthy!“ that’s our message to all our employees and we help them to succeed. For example we provide a comprehensive and varied offer for the company preventive health care, such as courses (Nordic walking, spinal exercises, Pilates,…), lectures, e. g. on the subjects work-life-balance, healthy nutrition and backaches as well as workshops on how to cope with stress, stays at a health resort as part of our nutrition and weight management and „nutrition and health days“. Also massages are offered to our employees performed by a trained physiotherapist. HPT has a company-owned fitness room which can be used individually by all employees free of charge.
Also the company sports programme is not neglected – there are for example soccer, table tennis and chess tournaments but also going together on a hike to strengthen and support the team spirit and the „feeling of belonging together“.
Vocational training and further training of qualified employees – this is also a field in which HPT does much more than what is required for current needs in order to meet the challenges of the future and to ensure the know-how and the product quality for the long term. As approved and certified company that takes on trainees we offer vocational training as processing mechanic (m/f) for plastics and rubber technology, machine and system operator (m/f), mechatronic engineer (m/f), tool mechanic (m/f), industrial mechanic (m/f), design draughtsman (m/f), technical product designer (m/f) and industrial clerk (m/f), also integrated degree programmes (plastics technology) are offered.
In-company continuing training and human resources development, for which HPT has an own company agreement between management and works council, should ensure both the economic and technical needs of the company and the professional interests of the employees.
Based on a systematic survey of demand the measures for qualification and human resources development are implemented for all employees. These are a combined range of measures with which the qualification requirements are matched with the existing qualification profile of the employees (qualification matrix), all skills of the employees are ensured and developed further and strengths and capabilities are collected and broadened in order to achieve the objectives of the company and of the customers.
At HPT regular staff appraisals, every member of staff is entitled to, take place – throughout all levels of hierarchy – at least once a year. Also this point is defined in a company agreement.
By an employee suggestion system the potential of ideas of the whole staff is taken advantage of – suggestions for improvements can be submitted and a part of the achieved savings is distributed as bonus.
To complete these measures of in-house continuing training HPT offers a company-owned library. Proposals of the employees to complete the offer of books and audio books are most welcome and will be included.
